As an internationally active manufacturer of metal packaging, the Pirlo Group supplies customers across a wide range of industries—from chemical and technical sectors to cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, as well as food and hazardous goods segments. To ensure that order processing and invoicing procedures remain efficient, transparent, and scalable, stable electronic data interchange (EDI) is an essential part of the company’s digital process landscape. The goal of the collaboration was to reliably support key processes in ordering and invoicing while ensuring that EDI operations remain efficient and expandable in the long term.
Initial situation and collaboration
Due to its international orientation and the diverse requirements of multiple industries, smooth, standardized, and reliable business processes are essential for Pirlo.
EDI Service Partners has been supporting Pirlo since 2023 with the implementation and operation of central EDI processes in productive use. Both incoming and outgoing messages are processed reliably and integrated into daily operations.
The following EDI processes have been implemented for Pirlo:

- INVOIC
XRechnung: preparation for new e-invoicing requirements
In addition, the implementation of XRechnung was realized in 2025 in order to future-proof electronic invoicing requirements. With the introduction of XRechnung, Pirlo is now able to provide invoices in a standardized, machine-readable format, reliably meeting the requirements of different recipients.
